We're Going to Disneyland!

Actually, we already went. And it was just as magical as I thought it would be.

I grew up in Florida, so I’ve been to Disney World plenty of times, but the first time I really experienced it was when I went during the spring break of my freshman year of college with my best friend. That’s when I caught the Disney bug. He’s obsessed with Disney, and we went all out for spring break — park hopping, fancy meals, riding thunder mountain twelve times in a row, it was one of the best trips I’ve ever been on.

If you read my post from last week, you’ll know that I got to go to my first comic con ever recently, and it was an awesome experience! Because we flew all the way to the west coast from Nashville, Tori and I decided to spend an extra day in California and go to Disneyland.

I knocked so many firsts out of the park on this trip:

  • Going to a comic con
  • Visiting the west coast
  • Hitting up Disneyland

And I documented the whole experience in a vlog. Before we get to that, here are some of my favorite memories from my first time at Disneyland!

1. Enjoying a Dole Whip
Gosh was this treat tasty! Even though it was a rather chilly day, Tori and I licked up every drop of this awesome pineapple treat.

2. Meeting Winnie-the-Pooh
If you don’t know, I’ve loved Winnie-the-Pooh since the day I was born. I got to meet him at Disney World at the Crystal Palace in 2014, but it was just as wonderful to meet him at his other home, Pooh’s Corner, in Disneyland.

3. Spinning in the Alice in Wonderland tea cups
I’ve always been hesitant to go on these spinning cups because I get really bad motion sickness, but it was actually a ton of fun!

4. Nomming on a Mickey Mouse ice cream bar
I always insist on getting a Mickey Mouse ice cream bar anytime I go to Disney. It’s a wonderful tradition, and I don’t feel like I’ve been until I’ve taken a bite out of the mouse’s ear..

5. Watching the light show at the end of the night
Tori and I decided to get tickets for the Fantasmic light show at the end of the night, and it was TOTALLY worth freezing off our toes. It was beautiful and ended the day perfectly!

I’m still a beginner to vlogging, so I hope you enjoy!

Happy adventuring,
Kimberly

*Fun fact, we had to be up at 4 a.m. to catch our flight to L.A. and 2 a.m. to hop back on our place to Nashville. We actually got there before the crew!
