And just like that, another week has flown by. On Monday, it always seems like the week will take forever and then it’s over in the blink of an eye! I had a bit of an off week since I didn’t meal prep on Sunday, so I ate out a lot, which I don’t love to do but it is what it is. This week was packed with The Bachelor, networking events, and happy hours, and this weekend is even more fun-filled! I’m attending an event I helped plan that should be lots of fun, and I’m celebrating my brother’s birthday. What are all of you up to?
I’ve been reading a lot of articles this week, but I narrowed it down to my top five. Here’s what’s been catching my eye this week!
1. Hustle Culture
Someone finally said it! I’m a huge believer in work-life balance, and I feel like that is really looked down upon in today’s society. There’s so much respect to the “grind” that I think it’s often overlooked that we weren’t put on this Earth to work ourselves to death, but to make in difference in the lives of those around us. Don’t get me wrong, I respect people that are immensely dedicated to their career, but I also think it’s okay to not work 12 hour days 5 days a week.
2. Matching Pajamas = Having Your Life Together
This article has been re-making it’s rounds around the Internet, and it’s because it’s so darn true. I own one pair of matching pajamas, but I’m in the market for a second because they make me feel like I’m treating myself just by getting ready for bed. I want to invest in a pair that are a little more appropriate to wear around the house, but aren’t too hot for sleeping. Kind of like this pair.
3. Reusable Metal Straws
I think I’ve talked about it before, but one of my goals of 2019 is to make smarter choices when it comes to the environment. I started by replacing my make-up remover towelettes with a cloth make-up remover, and this month I’m bringing a metal straw with me everywhere I go (hopefully)! I just bought these metal straws off Amazon, and I liked that it came with a cleaner as well as a little bag to stick the straw in.
4. Why Being Curious Is A Good Thing
I loved this article. It talked about something I didn’t even know I was self-concious about, which is my curiosity. I’ve always loved knowing about different areas of life, and I truly find myself getting distracted from “passions” because I want to be involved in everything. Anjali Kumar hits the nail on the head about why curiosity is a good thing. A very good thing.
5. Tote with Matching Pouch
I have been eyeing this tote and matching pouch for months. I want to replace my work bag with this, but I haven’t pulled the trigger yet. When that next sale hits, you can bet I will be there ready to check out my cart.

Happy adventuring,
