I’m not going to lie to all of you — I’ve been really tired lately. I’m not sure if it’s because of everything going on (big events, moving, etc), but I just want to curl up under my comfort and sink into a world of dreams for the rest of the weekend. Despite being the most tired I have been in a long time, this week was still a crazy one. I met up with a new friend on Monday, tackled a bunch of new leadership tasks on Tuesday and Wednesday, got BBQ with my brother and Tori on Thursday, and I’m heading to the Bad on Paper live show in Nashville tonight! No matter how tired and run down I may be, I’m forever grateful for this life I get to lead. Let’s get into what’s been catching my eye this week…

1. This article about dating as you get older
I realize I’m not in my thirties, and I shouldn’t have such a jaded outlook on dating, but dating is hard at any age. I’m a serial monogamist, so I’ve always felt like a bit of rarity in this day-in-age. I also don’t prioritize dating. Nowadays, online dating is the norm, and I couldn’t care less about it. I like that this article from healthyish talks about how dating has to be a priority to do it right, and it’s okay if it’s not your priority. You don’t have to date to feel fulfilled, you don’t have to prioritize dating over other things if you don’t want to. That’s okay.

2. This collection of perfect beach reads for the summer
I love this list of past summer book hits. The New York Times list makes a good point that there is always that one book everyone is reading during June, July, August. I’ve definitely marked a few off my own list like The Girl on the Train, Gone Girland Eat, Pray, Love.

3. This new collection from one of my favorites
Admittedly, I don’t own anything from Gal Meets Glam, but I’ve been longing for one of her pieces for months. If I could wear Gal Meets Glam for the rest of my life, I probably would. I love this button-front dress, this one-shoulder number, and this adorable two-piece set.

4. This roundup of items to take make your home the coziest place ever
I’m moving into a new place with a new roommate next week, and I can’t wait to make our place super cozy and inviting. Girls’ Night In always has the best recommendations, but this list might be one of my favorites. From the lavender soy candle to the adorable blanket ladder, this list has everything you’d need for your house.

5. This book about a Greek goddess exiled to her own island
I finally got Circe out from the library, and I’ve been tearing through it. So far, it’s a really heartbreaking story about a “young” Greecian goddess who is exiled from her father’s court because she is a witch. She is sent to live on an island by herself, and it’s there that she really learns of her powers.
