Top 5 Wednesday: Books I Never Finished [OOPS!]

Top 5 Wednesday

Today I’m going to be confessing yet another book faux-pas — Sometimes I’ve started books…and never finished them. BUT I WILL. One day. Eventually. When I muster up the courage to pick it up again and actually finish it. Here’s my shameful list.

Pride and Prejudice

1. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
I almost finished this one! And then sophomore year of college started. I promise I’ll get around to it. Hopefully over Thanksgiving break!

F. Scott Fitzgerald

2. The Great Gastby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
I’ve seriously been meaning to read this classic since high school. I’ve started it many a time, but I’ve just never gotten into it. I will keep trying though, I promise.

3. Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen
I originally started reading this on my mom’s Nook when we were touring colleges one summer. I got about 30 pages in, but then I went on a different vacation without my mother’s Nook, and I just never really picked it up again. I know how great it is though, and I plan on reading it ASAP.

4. Under the Dome by Stephen King
To be fair, I bought this on my Kindle back in high school, and then my Kindle died. It was very tragic, and I held a lovely funeral for her, but I haven’t felt the need to buy it again. I originally bought it because my freshman year geometry teacher raved about it, so maybe I’ll buy it again one of these days.

Inkspell

5. Inkspell by Cornelia Funke
loved “Inkheart” when I was in elementary school, and so when “Inkspell” came out I thought I would immediately fall in love with it. Unfortunately, there was a huge break between when I read the two, and I just couldn’t get into “Inkspell” without reading “Inkheart” first. And there have been so many other books I’ve wanted to read!

Happy reading,
Kimberly
