Happy Friday! I know lots of people who make jokes about the weekend being just the same as the rest of the week, but I still look forward to those two little days of zero expectations every week. This week was quite the rollercoaster between work and personal stuff, so I’m hoping to get some much-needed downtime and practice a little self-care this weekend. What’s on your agenda? Let’s see what’s been catching my eye…

Catching My Eye

1// This list of books about voter-suppression
Early voting ends tomorrow in Nashville. I am lucky enough to have not experienced any issues during my time as a voting adult in the United States, but that isn’t the case for everyone. I feel like voter-suppression is not talked about nearly enough. Here’s a list of books to educate yourself and others on the matter.

2// If 2020 was an entry in a history book
What a whirlwind of a year this has been! I thought this fake history book entry was a perfect encapsulation of everything that has been thrown our way in the last seven months. Who knew so much could happen in just half a year?

3// I love this babydoll dress
I love this adorable, mini babydoll dress from Free People. I don’t know how it would look on me, but I love admiring it from afar.

4// This endearing reunion of the cast of the Parent Trap
This Parent Trap cast reunion is sure to bring a smile to your face! The Parent Trap is one of the first movies I remember watching, and I was the biggest Lindsay Lohan fan back in the day. A quick little video to watch during your lunch break.

5// This murder mystery for teens
I powered through the last 300 pages of Truly Devious. It was due back at the library, and I didn’t want to wait another two weeks to finish it (honestly, this is my trick to finishing so many books in a month). Truly Devious follows Stevie on her exploration to solve a crime that was committed eighty years ago.

Happy adventuring,
Kim
