What a week! One of my clients had their second busiest week ever, and boy, am I ready for the weekend. I know they are kind of the same as before quarantine, but I still look forward to the unstructured time. I plan to get in lots of reading time this weekend (like every other weekend of quarantine, ha). Something I’ve been thinking a lot about this week as we slowly come out of quarantine here in Nashville is time-management. I feel like these last two-ish months were a great time to take stock of what has and hasn’t been worth my time — what do I do that makes me a better person in the long run. I’m going to try to make a list of those this weekend to make sure I’m going back into the real world as best as possible. Alright, that’s enough of that. Let’s get started!

Darker Shade of Magic and Big Magic

1// This article about the Instagram algorithm
I love learning about how things work, and I thought this article about the Instagram algorithm, which seems to stump all of us, was fascinating.

2// These tips on how to beat the Sunday Scaries
Even though we aren’t going into the office right now, I’m still experiencing that weird feeling of sadness/anxiety on Sunday afternoons when the weekend is wrapping up and I know Monday is going to kick my butt. I loved this article from Career Contessa with ideas on how to beat it. I definitely think staying active over the weekend, journaling, and staying away from alcohol help me. How do you beat the Sunday Scaries?

3// This over-sized blazer
I’ve been searching for the perfect over-sized blazer for MONTHS, but I don’t want to spend an obscene amount of money on it. The more I think about it, the more I might be leaning toward this Everlane blazer. It’s more than I normally spend on clothes, but if it’s going to last forever, and be a staple in my closet, it might be worth it. Does anyone have any other good alternatives or praise for this blazer? I would love to hear about it.

4// This great news for Disney+
“Hamilton” is coming to Disney+ on July 3! Hamilton has been one of my favorite musicals since I first listened to the music on my senior year spring break road trip in college. It’s amazing. I finally got to see the musical live when it came to Nashville in January thanks to my amazing roommate’s mom. I can’t wait to see what it looks like from home!

5// This rom-com from Christina Lauren
I’m reading The Unhoneymooners as my e-book choice this week, and I’m really liking it so far. I’ve never read anything by the writing duo (Christina Hobbs and Lauren Billings are two separate authors), but the book world has raved about them for years, so I figured I would give this one a shot (and I love the cover). This book is about two sworn enemies that are forced to go on a honeymoon vacation for their respective siblings after said siblings have contracted food poisoning at their wedding. The pair, Olive and Ethan, have to go on this trip after their siblings beg them to, and they are forced to get along. Obviously they are going to fall in love (maybe), but it’s still fun to read!

Happy adventuring,
Kimberly
