What a week! I kept this week pretty low-key focusing on work and getting back into a routine. I had a quick meeting on Monday evening and got some exciting news, played in my last kickball game of the season on Wednesday and enjoyed pizza with friends, and went to a networking event last night. I’m really looking forward to this weekend because I’m going to Steeplechase with a bunch of friends. (Apparently it’s the Kentucky Derby of Nashville? I’m really only going because I’m in this phase of saying “yes” to every opportunity, but nevertheless, I am very excited.)

As mentioned, I’m really trying to focus on developing a good morning and night routine. I had a great one going for awhile, but it got thrown off when I was dog-sitting a few weeks ago. I love getting up early and working out before starting my day, and I love getting eight hours of sleep, so going to bed early is crucial for me. Something that’s really helped me is enabling my Screen Time features on my phone. You can limit your time on certain apps (this has super helped with my productivity) and you can set a “Downtime” for when you can’t access certain apps. I’m not kidding when I say this has been life-changing for me. I’ve only had it active for a week, and I’m already sleeping better and using my time more wisely (I might do a full blog post about this…). Anyways, let’s get into what’s been catching my eye this week!

1. A Magical Little Library
I’m obsessed with the concept of the Little Library, and I think it’s absolutely adorable how this woman transformed her tree into a little book haven.

2. Reusable Makeup Remover Pads
Since one of my goals of 2019 was to reduce waste systematically throughout 2019, I thought it would be interesting to get some of these remover pads. I currently use the Ulta Beauty Makeup Remover Towels, and I really love them, but I think these remover pads would be great for any leftover eye-makeup I need to remove. I’ll definitely be purchasing some of these as soon as they are back in stock.

3. Hiding Likes on Instagram
I’m fascinated by the idea of Instagram hiding likes. This will change the entire game for Instagram influencers, engagement, and how people share their lives on this social platform. I was talking about this with an influencer I know, and she’s really excited about the possible change on Instagram and the new challenge it will bring to people that make their money using social media. I’m interested to see what this would look like as an impact on mental health.

4. Bow Flats
I just got these adorable bow flats from Target, and despite the insane blisters they gave me the first time I wore them, I’m still obsessed. Throw a stripe and a bow on something and I will buy it.

5. P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han
I finally read the second book of the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before series. I finished it yesterday morning, and while my final feelings on the book are that I loved it, while I was reading it I got really frustrated with Lara Jean and how naive she was being – probably because she’s 16 years old.  This book immediately picks up where TATBILB leaves off. It throws in some hot tub drama from the Senior Ski Trip and a letter from Lara Jean’s past reemerges to cause quit the drama in her life. If you liked the first book (or movie), I recommend checking out the books as the characters (namely Josh and Peter) are very different.

Happy adventuring,
