Buckle up friends! We’ve got three months of reading to review, and I was on a roll in April. Most of the books I’ve read in 2019 have been total hits, but there have been some duds here and there. I’ve got a lot of books to talk about, so let’s get started! February Image from Amazon 1. Little White Lies by Jennifer Lynn Barnes Little White Lies features 18-year-old Sawyer who was raised by a single mother 40 minutes away from her posh grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousin. Sawyer is perfectly content being her mother’s keeper until her grandmother shows up one day offering her $500,000 to participate in the…
Where Have I Been?
It’s been a hot minute since we’ve chatted, but I’m BACK! I didn’t mean to take a two month hiatus, and I’m a little sorry about it, but it was the time I needed to figure out everything going on in my life. First of all, I can’t believe it’s already May (in two days). 2019 has been such a rollercoaster for me in the best and worst ways possible. Let me give a little wrap of where I’ve been these last few months and what I’ve been doing with my time. Losing My Favorite Person Some of you know, and some of you don’t, but my family said goodbye…

Happy Friday! This week simultaneously felt like the longest and shortest week of my life. Last weekend was such a blast! I celebrated my brother’s birthday with him and a bunch of friends before he jetted home for the weekend, and I attended a gala-type event for an organization I’m a part of in Nashville. It was carnival themed, and I truly had a blast dancing the night away with friends. Despite the fun-filled weekend, I was feeling really anxious earlier in the week, so it felt like the days were dragging. I tried to brush aside my feelings with wine nights and tacos, but I think I’m just going…
10 Ways to Treat Yourself on Valentine’s Day
It’s the season of love! Traditionally, I’ve never really enjoyed Valentine’s Day, but I’m trying to embrace it a little more this year. Single, in a relationship, it’s complicated? Who cares. I say, treat yourself. I embrace this mantra more than my bank account probably likes, but life is short and money won’t follow you into the afterlife. (But for real, I’m very financially responsible, I promise. I budget.) I feel like Valentine’s Day gets a lot of hate — it’s a made up holiday, we should show love every day, blah blah blah. No matter how much people complain about it, it’s not going away. So, I’ve decided to…
30 Days of Yoga
I want to be able to hold a handstand by the end of 2019, and what better way to tackle that goal than to do yoga every day? I didn’t start out January with a plan to do 30 days of yoga, but sometimes these things just happen. Yoga with Adriene does a 30 day yoga challenge every year, and when I went to do my first yoga session of 2019, I decided to try to do the 30 days just for fun. In the interest of full disclosure, I did miss a few days because of travel, so I finished the 30 day challenge in about 35 days, which is…

And just like that, another week has flown by. On Monday, it always seems like the week will take forever and then it’s over in the blink of an eye! I had a bit of an off week since I didn’t meal prep on Sunday, so I ate out a lot, which I don’t love to do but it is what it is. This week was packed with The Bachelor, networking events, and happy hours, and this weekend is even more fun-filled! I’m attending an event I helped plan that should be lots of fun, and I’m celebrating my brother’s birthday. What are all of you up to? I’ve been reading a…
Top 5 Books To Read on Valentine’s Day
Love is in the air, and whether you’re single or in a committed relationship, Valentine’s Day is coming for you. Personally, I have a happy hour planned with a few friends, and then, I’m going to cuddle up with a book and a box of chocolates. Being single doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the holiday of love! Get yourself a card, make a date with friends, or watch Friends on Netflix. Who cares? Try to do something fun just for the heck of it. I don’t read a lot of romance, but I like to dabble from time to time. I’ve compiled a list of the best books to read…
January Reading Wrap Up 2019
Some people are saying that January seemed to drag on and on, but I feel like it flew by. I started 2019 off strong by reading three books this month, but I also got about halfway into It read a little more in Februaryby Stephen King, which is over 1,000 pages long. I’m hoping to , but with three fewer days than most months, I know that’s probably going to be pretty hard. Let’s get started with my January reading wrap up! Image from Amazon 1. The Martian by Andy Weir I read this book super quickly for a book club earlier in the month, and I ended up loving it so…

Cheers! It’s the weekend once again, and boy do I need it. I had this wonderful realization this week that this time last year I would do two things — I would go to work, and I would come home. And now? I can be busy every single day of the week if I so choose, which is insane. In just one year, my life has completely changed. I’m in love with this magical city, I’m involved in a variety of organizations, and I am so proud of myself for how far I have come. I hope that’s not taboo to say, but sometimes I think we focus too much on what…
February TBR List 2019
I started making these TBRs last year, and it’s really helped me stick to my reading goals. I am such a planner, and this is just another way for me to outline my life and reach my overarching goals. I rarely read everything on these TBRs, but I prefer to over-commit myself than under. I also always read something I didn’t anticipate at the beginning on the month, which is 100% okay. Like I said, this is an outline, not a final draft. Let’s get started with my February TBR list for 2019! Image from Amazon 1. They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera In a world where you…
