February – April Reading Wrap Up

    May 1, 2019 /

Buckle up friends! We’ve got three months of reading to review, and I was on a roll in April. Most of the books I’ve read in 2019 have been total hits, but there have been some duds here and there. I’ve got a lot of books to talk about, so let’s get started! February Image from Amazon 1. Little White Lies by Jennifer Lynn Barnes Little White Lies features 18-year-old Sawyer who was raised by a single mother 40 minutes away from her posh grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousin. Sawyer is perfectly content being her mother’s keeper until her grandmother shows up one day offering her $500,000 to participate in the…

    January Reading Wrap Up 2019

    February 4, 2019 /

Some people are saying that January seemed to drag on and on, but I feel like it flew by. I started 2019 off strong by reading three books this month, but I also got about halfway into It read a little more in Februaryby Stephen King, which is over 1,000 pages long. I’m hoping to , but with three fewer days than most months, I know that’s probably going to be pretty hard. Let’s get started with my January reading wrap up! Image from Amazon 1. The Martian by Andy Weir I read this book super quickly for a book club earlier in the month, and I ended up loving it so…

    October Reading Wrap Up

    November 2, 2018 /

October brought some new adventures, a wonderful amount of reading, and a feeling of great success when it came to my goals. There’s something about these fall months that makes me feel like I’m walking on air. I’m not sure if it’s the cozy coffee house vibes, an addition of my new favorite fall scarf to my wardrobe, or finally feeling like I’m in the right place, but October was just a bundle of joy for me. I read A LOT this past month, so let’s get started with this October reading wrap up! Books from my October TBR List Image from Penguin Books Australia 1. Salt to the Sea by Ruta…

    September Reading Wrap Up

    October 2, 2018 /

September was not my best reading month unfortunately. Between traveling, seeing friends, and starting a new job, reading definitely took a back seat to everything else going on in my life. One of my goals in October is to make reading more of a priority, and I’m happy to say I’ve already started off well on that note. I think a huge reason I didn’t read as much as I wanted to in September had to do with what I was reading — I wasn’t in love with the last two books I read this month, and I think that made it hard to feel motivated to pick up my…

    July Reading Wrap Up

    August 3, 2018 /

Hi, there! I’m back for my July Reading Wrap Up. If you noticed I was gone, I’m sorry. After traveling and hosting a friend in Nashville, I needed a little break to regroup and get the creative juices flowing again. The Reading Wrap Up posts are quickly becoming some of my favorites to write because it helps me reflect on my recent reads and it reminds me that I really am reading quite a bit throughout the month. I didn’t read as many books on my July TBR list as I would have liked, but I am still catching up from my other TBR lists. Hopefully, after August, I’ll be…

    June Reading Wrap Up

    July 6, 2018 /

June was an interesting month when it came to reading. I ended up reading six books total, the original number of books on my June TBR list, but I didn’t read all the books on that list. I got a library card this month, and I traveled to visit a friend, so my reading routine got a little messed up, but honestly, I’m really happy with how my reading went this month. I’m consistently reading more and more, and nothing makes me happier. Let’s get started with this June reading wrap up!

    May Reading Wrap Up

    June 5, 2018 /

May was a fantastic month of reading for me! While I didn’t read everything on my list (“All The Light We Cannot See” got bumped to my June TBR), I did read four books from my May TBR and a couple that I didn’t anticipate reading. For the most part, I enjoyed everything I picked up this month, and I’m happy to be knocking a few books off my shelf that have been waiting to be read for years. Here’s a little mini-review of everything I read last month in a little May reading wrap up. Let’s get started! Image from Goodreads 1. “Trigger Warning” by Neil Gaiman “Trigger Warning”…
