I’m not exaggerating when I say this week has been a DOOZY. I won’t get into all the details, but I can say that I am very ready for this weekend. I will be spending this morning volunteering at a local, outdoor fundraiser for a young-professional group I am a part of, and then, I have the rest of the day off! Hopefully, I’ll be able to get some last-minute reading done to finish another book or two for this month. Let’s get into what’s been catching my eye this week! one | these gifts for book-lovers… It doesn’t feel like it, but my birthday is just around the corner.…

Last week was a doozy, which made this week a week full of playing catch-up! I had a medical issue pop-up last week on Monday, which led to me needing a minor procedure on Thursday. The last half of my week was completely useless as I prepared for the procedure and then recovered, but on the bright side, I was well taken care of by my roommate and boyfriend, and I recovered in time to celebrate a friend’s wedding at a small outdoor ceremony. This week was all about catching up on everything I let sit by last week. It was busy, but I feel like I accomplished most of…

Happy Friday! This week was all about implementing little things to make each day feel like the best day. I started having five-minute dance parties after lunch. I treat myself to coffee two to three times a week. I watch the sunrise or set from my bedroom window. Just little things to make every day a little bit special. Do you have any practices like that? I’d love to know what they are. Let’s get into what’s been catching my eye this week! one | this breakdown on misconceptions about the enneagram… If you didn’t know, I love the enneagram. I think it’s such a fascinating way to understand the…

TGIF. This has been one heck of a week, let me tell you. Between the pandemic and the election, I feel like I just can’t catch a break this year. I’m trying to remind myself to just take one step and then another, but sometimes that’s harder than you think. Anyways, nothing is really “new” with me per say, so let’s get into what’s been catching my eye this week. one | this work hack to keep your day running smoothly… I am looking for anything and everything that will help me cope with my workday. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still loving working from home, I’m just in need…

What a week! My mood went from the lowest-of-low to the highest-of-high over the last 14-ish days. I don’t know what’s in the water (probably a pandemic), but I am truly feeling better than ever. I know this is probably going to be short-lived because life is just a series of ups-and-downs, but I’m trying to enjoy it while I can. Something I think that’s really helped this mood is doing a quick 15-minute clean-up routine at the end of the night. I’ve started cleaning the kitchen (washing the dishes and wiping down the counters) and tidying my room (putting away clothes and shoes, for the most part) right before…

No, no, no, you haven’t lost your mind. It’s Thursday. But tomorrow is 9/11, and that day is best spent remembering the lives we tragically lost 19 years ago — not reading about the fun things I’ve found on the internet in the last seven days. This week has been a weird one. I was in such a mood on Monday & Tuesday for no real reason, but then, I seemed back to “normal” on Wednesday. I’m going to chalk it up to Pandemic Burnout, which needs to be a real term if it isn’t already. Anyways, I’m excited for a quiet weekend spent reading and getting ice cream with…

Long weekend alert! I am so ready for three days off of work. It’s not that life has been any crazier than normal (some would argue it’s been slower with the pandemic) but it’s still nice to get three days off to do whatever I want to do. I picture this weekend being full of books, learning how to crochet, and cuddling with Maggie. Let’s get into what’s been catching my eye this week… one | this crochet kit… So, I’ve decided to become even more of a grandma and pick up crocheting! I am actually really excited about this new hobby. It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for forever, but…

I am in a fall state-of-mind. When COVID hit, it was still cold in Nashville, and I am ready to get back to those cozy vibes. Fuzzy socks, pumpkin-flavored treats, and twinkly lights are the only things I want to enjoy over the next two-three months. It’s nowhere near fall weather here yet, but that will not prevent me from making the best of this “season.” My week was strangely long but it also went by so fast? I was struggling with getting stuff done early in the week and then hit the ground running once Wednesday hit. I’m hoping for a quiet, productive weekend to set me up well…

Whew! We made it! I don’t know about you, but this week was a crazy one for me. I had COVID-safe plans on Tuesday and Wednesday night this week, so it made it feel like a weekend right in the middle of the week even though I worked every day. It definitely made for a weird feeling week, so I’m ready to knock a lot of productive tasks off the list today in preparation for a fun-filled weekend. Let’s get into what’s been catching my eye this week… one | these really unique bookshelves to spruce up any space… I’ve been on a book-buying spree (oops), and I also plan…

TGIF! If you don’t follow me on social media, you don’t know this, but I was dog-mom until yesterday! I dog-sit for friends every once-in-a-while, and I absolutely love it, but having two kids is so different from having one — and by kids, I definitely mean animals. Maggie deals with dogs fine, but she definitely prefers to be an only child. We got some good snuggles in over the last few days to make up for her having to share her bed for the last few days. Aside from parenting struggles, this week has been pretty run-of-the-mill. Eat, sleep, work, read, repeat. Let’s get into what’s been catching my…
