Happy Friday! This week was a whirlwind — in the best possible way. I’m looking forward to a quiet weekend since my boyfriend is out of town. I’m going to bake some holiday cookies, take a long bath, and read so many books. Let’s get into what’s been catching my eye this week! one | the best crime and thriller books of 2020… As we all know, I love thrillers. This is my favorite time of year because I get to build my 2021 TBR list based off of all the “best books of 2020” lists. two | these tips on reducing anxiety and stress this holiday season… This holiday…
Presents for Everyone On Your List
Did anyone else start their Christmas shopping later than normal, or was that just me? I ended up buying a little too many presents for myself, I always do that around this time of year, so I decided to build a list off of what I bought myself, as well as some items I managed to hold myself back from buying, but highly considered getting. Let’s get started! one | for the organizer in your life… This planner from Golden Coil. My favorite thing about this planner, is that you can build it to be anything you want it to be. Personally, I love the idea of bullet journaling (and…
Books I Read in November
I can’t believe we are in the last month of 2020. November was an overall good month, though it was pretty busy. Things are starting to wind down with the close of the year and the holidays coming up, so I’m hoping to end this year strong with some great books. Let’s get into the books I read in November! one | When They Call You a Terrorist by Patrisse Khan-Cullors and Asha Bandele — Audiobook Patrisse’s memoir chronicling the events in her life that led to the creation of Black Lives Matter is moving and enlightening in so many different ways. From her experiences with her brother who suffered from mental illness…

Happy first week of December! I can’t believe we have almost made it through 2020. The year with seven Marchs is finally, hopefully coming to an end. I’m not going to lie, this week was a weirdly tough one. I had a nagging health issue pop up again, and I had to get that taken care of which always messes up my week, but I am so lucky to have friends that take care of me and a boyfriend who is always willing to bring me dinner and watch crappy TV with me. I’m going into this weekend excited! My boyfriend wasn’t here for my birthday, so he has a…
December 2020 Goals & A November Update
How in the world is it already December? 2020 felt like it passed by in the blink of an eye. Surviving a pandemic and election year was just the icing on the cake of a surprisingly difficult year. I hope to finish 2020 on a strong note, so let’s get into my December 2020 goals. November 2020 Goals Update one | read all the books on my November tbr I finished The Care and Feeding of Ravenously Hungry Girls this month from my October TBR. Hello 26!
Goodbye 25, and hello 26! I celebrated turning 26 over the weekend, and I had the best time. I am so lucky to be surrounded by so many amazing people that wanted to make the day special, and I can’t wait to see what 26 has in store. 25 wasn’t the year I was expecting by any means, but I learned some wonderful lessons and picked up a few friends along the way. What advice do you have for me to make 26 the best year yet? Happy adventuring, Kimberly

Happy day after Thanksgiving! I hope everyone had a wonderful day even if it was different than normal. Personally, I Facetimed my family, ordered some Italian food (my favorite meal), watched Schitt’s Creek, read, cuddled with the dogs I’m watching this weekend for a friend, and had a socially-distanced Thanksgiving picnic with my roommate’s family. It wasn’t what I normally would have done, but we all have to do our best in these crazy times. My weekend is looking a little quiet, which is totally perfect for me. The last month has been totally insane, so I’m not complaining about having a quiet weekend alone with the dogs and my…
20 Things to Be Thankful For in 2020
It probably goes without saying, but 2020 has been something else. There has been a whole lot of bad, but I also think there has been plenty to be thankful for as well. I instituted my nightly “Good Things” reviews on my Instagram stories, which really helped put everything in perspective and remind me that there are always good things even amongst the bad. one | friends, family, and everyone in between Let’s start off easy! I am so lucky to be surrounded by the most caring, empathetic, and supportive people. I wouldn’t be who I am today or have survived 2020 without each and every person that’s been by…
Books to Buy as Gifts this Black Friday
It’s no secret that I love giving books to my friends and family during the holiday season. Sometimes I gift them something that fits their personality (like a coffee table book) or I find a perfect, evergreen book to gift them. I’m going to breakdown the best books to give this holiday season for anyone in your life. Let’s get started! one | for the person who loves working on themselves… Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes. We all know Shonda Rhimes as the truly amazing screenwriter for shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal, but aside from her writing skills, Rhimes usually liked to stay behind the scenes. She passed up opportunity after opportunity…

We made it! The end of another week. How was your week? Mine felt like it flew by but also crawled by if that makes any sense. This weekend is looking like it will be a little slower, which is no problem for me. Life has been hectic, aside from last weekend, and I’m definitely looking forward to the slower days that winter is bringing our way. Sometimes, I think it’s really nice to slow down, take a look at everything around you, think about everything you’ve learned or have to learn, and just breathe it all in. Let’s get started with what’s been catching my eye this week! one…
