    DIY: Mood Board Tips

I got really into making mood boards this year because I had some extra space in my planner that I ordered from Golden Coil (I know they are expensive, but they are totally worth it. I am in love with mine.) I had the perfect two-page spread right at the start of each month to create a vision for the next thirty days. If you’re looking to create a mood board similar to mine, you’re only going to need a few things: Photos (I grabbed mine from Pinterest, but you can do it the old school way with a magazine) Washi tape Double-sided tape or normal Scotch tape that you…

Happy Friday, friends! This week has been a tough one for sure. For reasons I don’t want or need to get into, I’ve been under a lot of stress, and I would not be exaggerating if I said I haven’t truly stopped crying since Wednesday. I’m excited to get into this weekend and, hopefully, take a little break from my emotions. Maybe dive into a good book? Let’s get started with what’s been catching my eye this week! one | storygraph I finally started a Storygraph account! Storygraph is an alternative reading platform to Goodreads. The review process is more than just writing a paragraph, it recommends books based on…

    February Goals | 2021

One month down, eleven more to go! We got this. How was everyone’s January? Personally, I thought mine went relatively well. Aside from a few distractions (namely, a coup), I remained focused on my goals and implemented new strategies and tactics to achieve those goals. Having yearly goals & intentions is all well and good, but if I don’t set monthly goals, there’s no way I’m going to achieve them. Let’s get into what I plan to tackle in February! one | develop a newsletter to send to my subscribers monthly I used to send a weekly newsletter with a wrap up of my blog posts, but I’m planning to…

And with that, January is basically done! We survived the first month of 2021, and maybe I’m just being obnoxiously positive, but I didn’t think it was all that bad. Right guys? The first ten days were a little hit-or-miss, but once we made it over the hump, I think we hit our stride. Here’s hoping the rest of 2021 is just as forgiving. My week, as most, was pretty quiet. I’m just keeping my nose down, getting work done, and reading books. Let’s get into what’s been catching my eye this week! one | how to brighten someone’s day (pandemic or not) Almost a year later, and living in…

Things I Have For My Cat That Just Make Sense

I’m bringing you a little bit of a different post today. I wanted to talk about all the things I have for Maggie, my cat, that make life just a little bit easier. If you don’t know, I have a cat. She’s about 2 years old, and I’ve had her for a little over a year. She’s the most amazing thing that’s ever happened to me, and I love her with my whole heart. For starters, my cat loves to play fetch, so even though I waste all my money on toys for her, her favorite toy is hair ties she steals from my bathroom counter. I also have two…

    Catching My Eye | 01.22.21

We did it! This week was full of happy tears as we inaugurated President Biden and Vice President Harris. We have our first female Vice President. This is truly so amazing. This is especially exciting for me because VP Kamala Harris is half-Jamaican, and my parents are Jamaican. It’s a huge step forward in so many ways, and I am so excited to see what this new legislation brings. In more personal news, my boyfriend and I are celebrating our one-year anniversary this weekend. It’s inspiring to see how much we’ve grown independently and as a couple over this last year. I’m excited to unwind together this weekend, go on…
